The magic is not in the playbook. It is in knowing which one to build.
I help growing tech companies turn partnerships traction into compounding growth, with an operating model built specifically for where they are.
Your partnerships are producing. But nothing is repeatable.
Your team is talented. But everyone is manually holding it together.
You have traction. You are missing the operating model that makes it compound.
About
I am Sonya Jamula, founder of Coconut Curry.
I have spent 18+ years building and scaling partnerships organizations across SaaS, fintech, and Fortune 200 companies. Not from the outside looking in. From inside programs that had to perform, in markets that did not always cooperate, across industries that had nothing in common except that partnerships could work if you built them right.
At Sling, I drove 400% growth in new partnerships building a vertical from zero. Through Covid, I led a hospitality team through one of the hardest-hit industries without a quota reduction and delivered 103% of target by redesigning packages and rebates from the ground up. At Gusto, I increased partner conversion 12% YoY. For 13 years straight, I hit my number as an IC when I owned my personal target, and my teams hit theirs when I was responsible for the team goal. That is not luck. That is what happens when you build high-performing teams and give them a system that works.
What people do not expect when they meet me is the combination.
They expect creative or strategic. They get both.
They expect scrappy or scalable. They get both.
I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, and what that gave me is something I now consider a genuine superpower: the ability to see structure, patterns, and systems inside complexity that other people walk right past.
I do not arrive with a playbook. I build the one that fits.
Grounded in logic and data. Specific, clear, and built to be executed.
I grew up across six countries on three continents and speak five languages. That is not a footnote. It taught me early that the way one group buys, decides, and builds trust is not universal. That lens is in everything I do.
And yes, there is a reason it is called Coconut Curry. My mother's family makes a dish with so many unlikely ingredients that it should not work. It always does. That is how I think about partnerships. The magic is not in any single ingredient. It is in knowing which ones belong together and in what order.

Industries
Across multiple languages and markets. The range is the point.
Work with me
Three ways to build it together.
Partnerships Growth Program
A six-month structured advisory engagement for tech companies that have partnerships traction but no operating model behind it. I work alongside your team to build the foundation that makes your partner ecosystem scalable, repeatable, and tied to real revenue outcomes. You keep ownership of the execution. I bring the strategy, the structure, and the senior judgment to make sure it holds.
Strategic Partnership Advisory
A monthly advisory retainer for CEOs and senior leaders who want a senior partnerships voice in their corner on an ongoing basis. Two structured calls per month and async support for the decisions and documents that come up in between. Built for leaders who want their partnerships motion to keep compounding without losing momentum.
Partnerships Coaching
For partnerships practitioners who are ready to build, scale, or sharpen their approach. This is not a course or a template library. It is a structured one on one engagement built around where you are and what you are trying to accomplish, drawing on 18 years of experience across programs that worked and ones that looked like they were working but were not.
